I would like to take a trip out to Colorado and do some elk hunting. I already have a guided black bear bow hunt this year in Maine so i cant afford to spend another 4K on a elk guided hunt. I hear that a lot of people go out there and have succesfull public land elk hunts. I am trying to see if anyone has or knows someone who has done this before. And any tips would be appreciated. PS - I am going with my bow. Thanks Doc - You spelled it right too lol...that seserves a thumbs up just for that... Thanks White - Actually i have the rules and regs here in front of me and it says that a guarenteed archery permit for wither sex elk is like 575$...i know i have to buy a hunting license and im sure a stamp of some sorts...but thats better than paying a guide 3000 and having to buy all that stuff....here in Illinois, its 355 bucks for a non resident to bow hunt here....thats ridiculous...
