Howa 1500 or savage 110?
I am leaning towards the howa mainly because the scope it comes with is about 10x better than the one on the savage and i wont have enough to upgrade the scope. so which would you guys prefer?
I'm getting it in .30-06 for elk hunting in AZ. if youve only shot one of them let me know what you think of it

308 HE federal trophy bonded tip?
Has anyone tried the new 308 Federal HE round yet. I was thinking this would make a good elk round, the ballistics seem really impressive 2880 fps for a 165 grain bullet. Has any one shot these rounds yet. I maybe going on a elk hunt and was considering this bullet, a 150 or 168 grain tsx or 180 grain nosler partition Federal HE at a muzzle velocity of 2740. Thanks

What is the purpose of Coyote hunting?

Seriously.
I've wanted to try it for awhile, but can't see the purpose unless you're a ranch owner trying to control population and protect assets. I mean deer and elk hunting usually result in meat as well as trophies. I can not even imagine coyote hunting being for food! So what is the appeal other than varmint control for ranches? what aspects make it a good sport?

Savage Arms Model 110 .300 Win Mag Price suggestion?
I'm wanting to sell my Savage Arms Model 110, 300 Win Mag. Has a wood stock ,I'm guessing Walnut. Has a Bushnell 3x9 Variable scope . It's been shot maybe 15- 20 times. Bought it for an Elk hunting trip, and it sure did the job, It's in great condition ! I'm just moving back to Florida and no longer have a use for it, but not sure on an asking price ? Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.
