Getting Ready for the Duck Hunting Season

With duck hunting season right around the corner, it's important to make sure you are fully prepared for it. This can be things which you probably already do, such as buying ammo, however there are many other things which you may not be aware of, such as scouting the area. Here are some of the most important parts of getting ready for the duck hunting season.

One - Get a calender and plan out your hunting days. Decide where you are going to hunt and on what days. You would be surprised how many people don't plan out there hunting trip, and end up wasting valuable time.

Two - Make sure your aiming skills are still just as good as they were, or not better, than last years season. Go to practice shooting and use a toy duck, or duck decoy as a target. These work as great targets, because they are the actual size of real ducks.

Three - Duck decoys are a duck hunters best friend. Make sure you have plenty of decoys for all the types of fowl you plan on hunting before the start of the season.

Four - Make sure you have all your hunting and camping gear ready for the season. This can be camouflage clothing, duck callers, ammo, firewood, food, sleeping bags, and anything you will need for your hunting adventure.

Five - If you go hunting with a canine companion, such as a Retriever, be sure that he is in a good physical condition to fetch the ducks. Take him outside to play and go for walks to keep him active. You can teach him to fetch dummy ducks for practice. This will keep him instincts and skills sharp as a razor.

Six - Every year novice hunters go out at the beginning of the season without making sure their gun is properly checked and it ends up failing on them. You can prevent this by taking your gun apart before the start of the season and checking all the components of it. It is also a good idea to give it a good cleaning while you are inspecting it.

Seven - If you are new to the area you plan on hunting, it is a wise idea to ask people familiar with hunting the land what types of ducks come around where. Remember, the best advice comes from people who have had experiences. Knowing information like that will give you a huge start during the season.

Duck hunting is more than a sport, it's an adventure, and preparing for the start of the season is part of it. I hope you find getting ready for the duck hunting season a little bit easier thanks to this article.

Airsoft choosing help.?
I've been into airsoft for a few months now. I stopped during hunting season, and I'm getting back into it over the summer. My neighborhood does airsoft wars almost every weekend, and I need a AEG that's good and reliable for a not so expensive price. Yes, I know airsoft is expensive. Currently for my primary gun I'm using either the Crosman Stinger R34 or the Crosman Stinger S32P. I'm looking to replace the S32P and give that to a friend of mine during battles. For my backup I'm using the Crosman Stinger P311. Does anyone have any recommendations for a AEG that's under $50? Thanks. I did a little research, is this a good gun for the price? http://www.amazon.com/Double-Eagle-Electric-Airsoft-Rifle/product-reviews/B001CXJQ5Y/ref=dp_top_cm_cr_acr_txt?ie=UTF8&showViewpoints=1

Why does he do that? ?
I have a guy friend that lived a few doors down, until he moved a few months ago, we hooked up a few times and made out constantly. One time, I told him about how my mom's boyfriend and his son were telling me that they're going to take me shooting and hunting when the hunting season starts and they're not taking "No" for an answer. My friend responded, "Oh... I'd love to take you shooting too. We'd have fun." Another time, I was telling him some story about my family friend (Older guy-40 years old or so, but doesn't act or look that age) and my friend was like, "You're so naive, he likes you!!" I laughed and said, "I don't think so. He used to be a cop, I'm sure he wouldn't. For one, I'm so much younger" then he interrupted and started using examples and saying how cops are usually the shady ones, etc. And that I should be careful around him...or something like that. Anyways, why does he do that? It's like he either is trying to one-up or under-mine, I can't explain it. Opinion?
