Book titles needed....help?
I'm currently in the middle of writing a supernatural based fictional story that I want to make part of a series.
I'm a little stuck on the the book titles. So far, I've got character profiles and plot summaries. The overall series is about Valkyries and the Goddess Freya. I want to add in other creatures from Norse lore, as well as the realms of existence. The main creatures I want to work with other then the Valkyries are the hell-hounds and witches.
I've already asked for help with the first book title and have fallen in love with "The Hidden". At this point in time, I'm considering "Secrets of the Valkyrie" as the series title.
Would really love some help with titles for book two and three...
Here's Book Two's Plot:
Kelda Ágeirr, twenty-seven, loves to watch the local wolves from her backyard. A nature photographer reknown in her local area, she becomes intrigued when three mysterious women arrive in town to visit their cousins, Keldra's next door neighbors, the Tamper twins.
The three women, Rana, Kelsey, and Jarn only heighten Kelda's interest in the Tamper family, especially once she sees them bury a body soon after arriving.
But the women are Valkyries, having escaped from their enclave home in Valhalla to live like mortals. Only to arrive in town to find their cousin, Kati engaged to a hellhound, a creature slave to the Wild Hunt. When Kelda's brother Mikkel falls in love with Jarn, Freya's law is threatened. And then the trio come across a deadly hell-hound, Arkyn, that seems to be stalking Kelda.
Gorgeous, lazy, god-like, Arkyn has never dreamed that he could fall in love with a human, and Kelda wants nothing to do with him, at least not in his human form. But what is Kelda supposed to do when her best friend is attacked by what appears to be a renegade wolf? Nothing...but fall in love.
(Arkyn is both the villain and hero in this book)
Book Three's Plot:
For twenty-four years, the fiery Valkyrie, Kaida Tamper ? known for her ruthlessness and black eyes that are the customary Tamper inheritance ? grew up in darkness of who she and her twin were, until she met Thora, leader of the Dogs of War, a renegade gang of Valkyries, who stalked the souls of damned humans, those of great strength and power.
Then one night with her gang, the Dogs of War, Kaida discovers the truth about who she really is: half-hound, half-Valkyrie... a freak. Unable to cope with her revelation and wanting to atone for her sins against the hell-hounds, Kaida leaves the gang behind and moves in with her hellhound brother-in-law's relatives. However, the Dogs of War aren't about to leave her alone.
She seeks out Coven Asgardia, and they assign her the mission of finding the missing descendant of the oldest witch family, the Vérún. When her former gang is discovered to also be trying to find the Vérún descendant, Kaida has to confront the past she thought she'd left behind.
She's irresistibly drawn to Blyn Drachen, the mortal brother of Thora and the handsome boy Kaida befriended as a young child. Yet the boy she loves is strongly opposed to hellhound and witch rights, and so she holds her tongue about her true species.
When Thora sends her daughter Linnea and her thugs after Kaida, Blyn, her cousin Rana and her friend Dorian... Blyn finally pieces together Kaida's darkest secrets.
(Originally I was going to have the character Kaida Tamper - villain in the first book & heroine in the third book - be part of a gang called Dogs of War... now I'm considering a new name for them...any ideas?)
Don't really know much about the Night World series, though I've seen the books around. Will have to change the second plot. Thanks for letting me know.
Love the name Hidden Secret.... it goes well with the title, The Hidden. Which is Kati Tamper's story...she is Kaida's twin.
